Sixteen of us enjoyed an 8 mile walk from north of Llandegley. Helen, from East Radnor Ramblers, was our leader and had plotted a great route – apart from the long steep climb up to Great Rhos. However, we were treated to a beautiful day and the views from the tops were worth the effort!
Our descent was a delightful path with views to the south as far as the Beacons and Carmarthen Fans.
We were accosted on our return by someone from a farm asking us to pass on information about the walk the Penybont & District Charity were doing for Children in Need on 7th October. So in case anyone is interested, meet at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre at 11am, no unaccompanied children please. £5 per adult, £10 per family, and a choice of 3 walks to suit all abilities.
