I found your radio walking programme on Iplayer and enjoyed listening to you describing the view of the distant Somerset Coast. Lovely to hear as we often go to Burnham, we don't live to far from there, and look in your direction. Your coastline looks diferent each time. When it's misty, everything loks slightly magnified (when it shows through), but usually it is covered in a golden or pink sunset...beautiful! I wonder if Somerset looks so good in the evening light...
I am enjoying listening
Thank you

This would amount to thousands if not millions of miles of new fencing, this would spoil the countryside and cost hundreds of thousands.

I think it is up to individuals to be better prepared and educated.

Is it too much to ask that landowners take steps to protect walkers? A simple fence along a footpath would negate any danger from livestock.

The windfarm debate is an endless and pointless one. Only three groups of people directly benefit from wind turbines without arguement, the manufacturers, the developers and the landowners.

Is wind power the answer? Well it definately isnt the question! Actually, finding the right question to ask is the way to solve this dilema once and for all.

Do you feel as though saving energy is a really important commitment that you and your family have been asked to make? Has the Govt exhausted efficiency improvements for the nation BEFORE looking at extra power generation? Does the govt support research into clean fusion reactors? DO YOU ACTUALLY REALLY CARE? If you do then common sense will tell you we are greedy users of power and we must be ashamed or we will soon regret it. Especially if the cost of our greed is covering our countryside in turbines and power cables. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT.

The only solution to our greed for energy is to go on a sensible diet. This will also buy us time to find sensible solutions that our children will be proud of.

this is a huge step forward in the development of wind farms. surely replacing 103 turbines with the proposed 42 to produce even more green energy can only be a good thing for the future development of wind farms. why not develop more in this site to create even more green power. The visual impact is nothing, tourists are attracted to walk round the wind farms an young children and grown adults alike are in awe of these magnificent machines when they get up close to them. the wonder and beauty of these machines are simply spectacular. yes, with even with the new power lines to connect to the national grid (which would need planning permission to which locals can object) the electricty companies that own these windfarms create millions of pounds worth of profit every year so with objection, these power cables could be burried. hooray for green energy and may the anti brigade see that renewable energy IS the way forward
