Four Wells Ramblers to offer short walks programme

We organise programmes of walks in the beautiful countryside of Mid Wales on behalf of Ramblers Cymru, and are introducing a programme of short walks of four to eight miles. This is in addition to their traditional longer Saturday walks. We are enthusiastic about walking in the Welsh countryside and hope to encourage more people to come out walking, and to join our group too.

The first of these on Monday 26th March is a figure of eight walk from the Elan Valley Village, offering a 4 mile or 8 mile option. The short walk includes good views of Caban Coch and Garreg Ddu Reservoirs from the South side of the Elan Valley, before the longer walk takes in the hills to the North. The walk starts at 10.00am in the Elan Village – why don’t you come and join us?

I have benefited greatly over the last few years from the physical activity and social interaction provided by the group; a friendly bunch who enjoy walking and being in the countryside and are so welcoming to newcomers and visitors, says Chris Jones, current Chair of the Four Wells group.

Please come in sturdy shoes or boots and bring something to eat and drink together with a waterproof coat – the weather can change quickly! Sorry, no dogs.
