Walk from Shakey Bridge on 3rd December 2016

20 Walkers turned up for a circular walk from Shakey Bridge near Llandrindod Wells, taking in a visit to Berries Cave en route.  A dry but cold and largely cloudy day kept us on the go with no lingering over coffee and lunch breaks.  Several people explored the cave which is a man-made tunnel of some 30 feet in length – all emerged safely if somewhat dirty from the damp walls and roof.  3 bats were seen at the end of the tunnel.  The views from the by-way on Pawl Hir and on Bwlch y Cefn Bank were pretty good considering the lack of sunshine.  Despite a dodgy gate to scale and wooden fence to vault, all 20 of us arrived back at our cars safely.
